Beyonce Knowles in remake of ‘A Star Is Born’

Heard thru the grapevine that Beyonce Knowles in talks for A Star is Born to be directed by Clint Eastwood for Warner Brothers.
The 29-year-old star is in talks to take on the role of an aspiring singer who falls for an older rock star in the movie,
No announcement has been made on the male lead but Will Smith, Robert Downey Jr. and ‘Mad Men’s’ Jon Hamm have all been linked with the role.
Will Fetters wrote the script for this new Warner Brothers version while Bill Gerber, Jon Peters and Basil Iwanyk are set to produce.

This will be the fourth remake of the movie ,with Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson starring in the most recent version in 1976, Judy Garland and James Mason played the lovers in 1954 while the original featured Janet Gaynor and Frederic March.
Beyonce has previously starred in musical movie ‘Dreamgirls’ in 2006 and portrayed legendary singer Etta James in the 2008 film ‘Cadillac Records’ whicj i loved. Lets hope she gets the role.

Comics has been a part of a childs up bringing for decads. Must admit as a girl super hero comics wasnt my thing when i was growing up but if you had a brother a male friends chances are you may have come accross a number of Super hero characters. But with the big screen now pumpin out more super herofilms faster then you can say up up and away .. theres no escaping the super hero fever. But with Superman, Spiderman batman wheres all the ladies and in fact wheres all the sisters in all this. So we dug deep and was quite suprised how many black female comic superheroes there actually was, a few of our favs are below.

Halle Berry has already played Cat woman adn Storm in X-Men and with rumours that Beyonce might be playing Wonder Woman in an upcoming DC/Warner Bros movie… talking about Black Female Superheroes seems even more timely. loan and Peeks (mo-am Bloggers) have already posed for award winning Photographer Overlord X’s super hero theme and a female street figher shoot is in development. We will post up when they are done.

Hollywood is constantly turning to comic books and graphic novels for inspiration so there may be a influx of more comic book females of color coming soon. The thing i like about the super heros we found is that they all looked highly fashionable with long flowing locks, makeup, figure huggin cat suits in sexy hot leather and spandax that would make Lady Gaga look plain and contempary. Yes balck super heroes have swagger and are not scared to fluant it like the other girl super heroes. So get on you thigh boots and mask and lets get busy to fight the baddies.. but er dont forget the lip gloss.
